I know. They are very long overdue. By about a month and a half. What can I say? One, I've been beavering away, finishing the manuscript and two, it takes a bloody long time to sort through about 5000 photographs and get them down to a very small number to post here. But, that said, here they are. All I can say now is - I could really do with some of that tropical heat! (And you'll just have to bear with me on the number of tropical sunsets...)

I feel warm and satiated! Thanks for the virtual vacation, Nicky.
Beautiful photographs as ever! Oh, I wish I was there right now! So much more picturesque than South East London!

Thanks, Val, it's certainly a very relaxing place! :-)
I wish I could get some of that warmth here, right now, Lakeviewer!
Thanks, Sue - I do too! :-)
Oh the joys of your photos. It is like travelling without moving. They are gorgeous and so relaxing to look at.Thank you for doing them for us!
my pleasure, vh, so glad you enjoyed them!

Such wonderful photos of a tropical paradise for sure. Pity though you couldn't manage a few sunset pics!
Gorgeous. If only it was closer. I'm sitting in the predawn dark on top of a heater! Bring on the sunshine!
Absolutely stunning sunsets. I believe my favorite of all the shots is the sea art...beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful paradise.
great pics! everything looks so beautiful, and clean.
I can see why you took 5,000 photos.
I want to go.
I'm also glad you took a moment to share.

Aaaah, Nicky, I can never get enough of tropical sunsets and palm trees! If I could ne near you, I`d like to look at all 5000!
My daughter promised me pictures of La Réunion, too, and hasn`t managed yet. It just takes its time. But this way I can get an impression. Thank you for your help in her preparations!
And the Matsopane blog will soon appear, as soon as Val is back. Yes, maybe YOU could write the book?
The sunsets are incredibly mesmerising, Carol! :-)
Rob - LOL!
Oh Baino, I know just what you mean - it's cold, damp and misty here. Sigh.
Thanks, Gail - and it's my pleasure! :-)
It really is a beautiful island, Jan - and so relaxing!
The trouble, as I'm sure you know, Lori, is once you start snapping you just can't stop! xxx
I think sorting through photos and trying to select a handful of the best ones, Geli, is just the most time-consuming thing - far easier to take the photos, much harder to sort them! Glad if my input helped your daughter to plan her holiday!
And ha ha, how did I just know you were going to say that about the book. Well, maybe... though Val writes so very well herself! :-)
This posting was a REVIVAL....looking at your pictures was a delight.
Thank you for giving me a vacation in my desk chair, Nicky!!! How lovely and warm and fabulous this place is...I love the fishermen at dawn.
If I had gone, I'd have taken 5000 photos as well. So many lovely photo ops. I really enjoyed this post!
Such beautiful photos... Stunning, really!
Dearest Nicky, I thank you for your warm words. I didn't get to thank you for the birthday wishes! You remembered! I am awful... I feel awful... But you understand. Thank you for that, also.
I miss coming here...
Many hugs and kisses!
xoxoxo
I am having a horrible Tuesday morning. thank goodness I was able to go on a virtual break to Mauritius - how stunning!!
Very nice photos. However I wouldn't change it for Scotland. Seas coasts aren't that attractive to me.
You simply can't get enough tropical sunsets in life! beautiful
xx
ab fab nicky... looks like a great place to live, much less visit ;)
Oh my gosh these photos are amazing, Nicky! So beautiful... those sunsets are stunning.
If I ever take a tropical vacation, it'll be here. I'll have to remind myself to ask you where this is exactly.
I have to apologise for having been so absent from these lovely pages. I've been through a rough patch, with unemployment, narcissistic blogging, loneliness and weight gain. Not pretty.
But I'm back now, head covered in ashes, hoping to be welcomed once again at your fantasyland doorstep, guinea fowl and all.
Ciao,
