A multifaceted holiday

Oh woe, my poor neglected blog... What can I say? I'm reprioritising, refocusing, rewriting (again)and have been much in need of a holiday. As you'll see, the blog's look has changed, along with a few other things. I think it's called metamorphosis...

But never mind all that, I'd much rather show you some happy snappies of a recent trip we took up the coast, where we managed to combine sun, sea, wildlife, landscapes and lots of fun. Hope you enjoy the virtual trip too!

There were panaramic vistas...

And there were moody seascapes...

There were lazy days at the pool, reading and sipping cool drinks...

...whilst gazing at a diamond-scattered sea...

and watching the waves crashing on the rocks

There were days spent gazing at the lagoon...

...munching oysters

And then there was wildlife, in varied forms...

And there were sunsets...

...and nightscapes...

...and more moody seascapes...

And there was even an African beach baptism!

All in all, a pretty good holiday!

Ooohhh your holiday looks just dreamy!! We're planning to go back to Thailand for a holiday in September (our first one in over a year) and I can't wait!!

Glad you had such a lovely time and had the chance to re-charge your creative batteries.

Wonderful pics and like the new look.
No doubt by next week you'll be needing another holiday after exhausting yourself catching up with yourself!
The aninmals are amazing and are therefore unbelievable to me. The sea ones I understand.
Good to know you had a good time.
Welcome back

Oh, what stunning photos, Nicky. Love the seascapes and the leopard in particular. What kind of camera do you have?

Sublime - in every possible way. Absolutely stunning photos, Nicky, they ALL deserved to framed and hung somewhere very special! (Like in a gallery? Why don't you try a virtual one in the meantime -Artspan is great online gallery to show - and sell - your work worldwide)

Thanks, Ropi! And lots of very good luck with those exams - go well with the studying too - I don't envy you!

Thanks, Carol - so good to see you, how's the degree going?! Oh lovely, a trip to Thailand sounds gorgeous, you lucky thing! Hope you have a fabby time, though Sept is still a bit of a way ahead...

Thanks, FireByrd! It was a lovely break and erm, um, actually there is another holiday planned for next month... ;-)

Thanks, Gillian, there'll be more piccies on FB if I can just get the damned uploader to co-operated! I have two cameras - a Nikon D40 and a Nikon D3000.

Aw, Tessa, you're a honey, thanks so much! I'm definitely going to check out that online gallery - one more thing to distract me from writing and some extra dosh is always welcome! ;-)

Thanks, Marie, the leopard is brilliant, isn't he - so glad to have got shots of him!

Ah, I see you went to Skegness for your holiday ...

Oops, you snuck in there Janet! The cats were at a rehab centre and sanctuary that seems to be doing pretty good work. It's called Tenikwa. They return cats to the wild in most instances and the one's kept there can't be returned for one reason or another.

Nicky S (Absolute Vanilla) said...

And you snuck in too, Debi - ah yes, Skegnes was marvellous... ;-)

Looks pretty boring to me. No glitz glamour and bling....just kidding, it looks too perfect and just what I could do with - some sun, sea and sights to refresh the soul.

Thanks, Val, on both counts! :-) The next trip needs to be to the bush...!

It was an amazing holiday, Marion, unfortunately I came home to all sorts of drama, so all the rest and relaxation is undone! Happily though, I'm off again quite soon! ;-)

Thanks, Pat!

I feel sure you'd love Plett, Lori - it's got everything, wonderful hiking trails, miles of beach, mountains... it's really very special.

Hope you like your zebras, Baino! There are some more of them on the FB photo album! Just for you! :-)
