Happy Holidays

This blog is going on a short holiday. And hard as it will be for this blogger to tear herself away from the rewrite of her manuscript, she's going on holiday too (but she may take her laptop with so she can keep scribbling furiously).

While the blog will stay just as where it is and practice meditative techniques and other means of relaxation, the blogger will be going here...

Where the view from her room will look like this...

She will eat oysters and prawns and sip chilled white wine.

She may walk with these guys for a while...

She will enjoy vistas like this...

She'll take walks here...

and here...

And she'll find photo opps like this...

No doubt she'll return with even more photographs than before - and here's hoping you feel you're enjoying her holiday with her!

See you in a week or so!

Oh you lucky, lucky thing AV.

Spent a few days in Kynsna on my first visit to SA. My mother had an apartment there for her last 8 years or so. She'd visit every winter for a few months.

Enjoy every moment of your holiday.

Not jealous - not jealous at all. I do not understand envy. I covet not your holiday.

I guess if I keep repeating that - it might be true eventually.

Have a wonderful time. Get a great tan. Take lots of photos. See you in a week. Lots of love xxx

tough life, av. It'll take a lot of stamina, but I know you'll be up to the challenge. You go for it and fill your eyes with all the beauty you can find (do raise your glass to my health at some point?) :-)

cheers!

Plett! I wonder if you'll climb Robberg and then scramble down the cliff to the sandy cove where we once sat and ate our picnic while watching our little brown girls clamour over rocks to find tiny crabs and waving red anenomes in crystal pools? Happy holiday, Nicky, happy memories.

It's a lovely part of the world, SJW, so glad you know it and so can relate. And thanks for the good wishes!

Thanks, Lori and yes, keep an eye on Atyllah, as I know she'll be keeping an eye on all of you! ;-)
xx

No of course you're not jealous, Janey, why on earth would you be :-) Thanks, I'm sure we'll have a good time - it's a lovely part of the world - and please, don't encourage me to take lots of photos... xxx

Of course you can, Benjamin, can you get here by tomorrow morning? :-) xx

It is indeed, Renee, but someone has to do it :-) And I will most certainly raise a glass to your good health - and Cybele's too - though maybe I should make hers a bone... :-)

Oops, you snuck in there, Tessa! I don't know about climbing Robberg, but we might well go for a walk on the more accessible beaches - it's a beautiful spot, isn't it! xx

Thanks, FireByrd! xx

Hmmm...
Is it bad blog manners to whine and say I'm jealous, oh so jealous??!!
If it is, then all I'm saying is, "Have fun, pick up tons of memories and be safe"

Oh you lucky baggage, you! Deeply madly horribly green with envy....
Was just dropping by to thank you for your comment on mine and to say that, yikes, we've already taken out more walls than was probably advisable so think we have to hang on to the ones that we have left!!

How funny....was revisiting the old black box and it brought me back here....
I'm trying to sell my mother's house so if you or any of your followers know anyone looking for a gorgeous little house in Devon, please send them over to my place (I've bunged up a new blog called One Small House'.....)
Hope the holiday is being gorgeous. I think your blog is misbehaving while you're away - it's certainly not doing its exercises!

I'm late in wishing you a grand journey, as I just happened to your blog today. the Kynsna, Garden Route, Wilderness, the Indian Ocean, the majestic wildlife... The nostlagia/heartache that accompanies me since I had to fly away from those enchanted lands and mystic skies never leaves me in peace. I will be back to visit this blog, because it will soothe my soul. South Africa has left a mark and I showcase it proudly. Ciao and thank you for sharing those gorgeous poctures.

I am not jealous. You deserve it. I am not jealous. You deserve it.

This is my mantra for the week.
