Still Alive

Just a brief "hello" to say I'm still alive and as the Mouse assumed, no news is good news. It transpires I've had dysentery - oh lucky me - Not! I'm recovering but am very flattened and so any blogging and blog visiting will be sporadic at best - please bear with me.

I would like to thank you all so very much for all the kind comments and healing vibes sent my way - I swear I felt a positive wall of energy hit me last week - so huge thanks for that - you're all very unique and special people and it's my pleasure to have met you all through blogosphere. I shall continue to lie low for a while, read lots and ponder the journey - as ever. Oh yes, and I'm dreaming of a holiday - tropical preferably - sun, sea, fresh mango juice, blue skies, swaying palms, turquoise waters... Aaaah.... A girl's got to dream. And while I'm dreaming the muse is busy beating my forehead and urging me to get back to my manuscript - seems time out is no bad thing at all.

Meanwhile, I leave you with some photos. Take care of yourselves and in the words of SARK live juicy, stay succulent, wild and bodacious.

So glad to hear from you, Vanilla. Take it easy, listen to your Muse, dream, live juicy - oh, I like that! :-) All the best! xoxo

thanks for checking in and giving an update - hope it won't be too long that the path you are traveling will no longer be the one btw your 'spot' and the WC! might be good to skip the fresh mango juice for a while and just be juicy.

bless that muse for her constant companionship.

So pleased to hear that you're recovering ... do continue to take it easy though. I love the juice line too! :-)

Yep, I know, CS, so I'm having a fine time lying about catching up on my teen fiction reading. Now, I have to ask myself, of course, what am I doing here in front of my pc. Tsk, tsk.

Love the photos

So glad your are feeling better, turning the corner, on the way back, as it were.

Glad also that your muse didn't get sick too, but vibrantly hung around inspiring and talking to you. A muse can be quite good company.

Drat, I haven't been staying succulent, juicy and bodacious at all! In fact, I don't think I lost it, I never was those things, or living them. You go off in your mind, to a fantasy visiting a tropical paradise, and I will go off in a fantasy where those words do describe me/my life. And maybe in time, we can both find a way to get there from here.

I suspect my muse gets more active in my down times, Taff, making me think that down times are actually very good times in so many ways :-) And I'm sure we'll both find our way - stillness, I suspect helps.

Thanks, Sameera - the holiday will be a while yet but I'm looking forward to it - ah, those turquoise waters are calling me... ;-)

Thanks, Alaleh - for being you, for being there.

You're right, Celestine - happiness and laughter are great healers. Thanks for stopping by.

Dysentery is very debilitating. Glad that you are on the upside. I will send that gryphon over immediately to watch at your bedside.

Absolute Vanilla (and Atyllah) said...

Thanks, Princess Haiku - the gryphon will be very welcome - I'm sure we can get up to all sorts of sneaky things together ;-)

Yay!!! I'm so happy that you are back. Take your time and get plenty of rest. :)

Let your muse soar the literary mountain tops. And, thank you for being such a marvellous writer. We all appreciate you, V.

Also, the shots are gorgeous! I love the middle picture of the Paeony! It is absolutely magnificent. :)

Absolute Vanilla (and Atyllah) said...

Aw, gee, JD, thanks - you're such a sweetie. I am trying to take it easy but am always so conscious of time passing and things not getting done - guess I really need to take a lesson in chilling! :-) Glad you liked the pics - yep, that paeony was amazing, especially so in real life - huge and blowzy.

Wilf said...

Really glad to hear you are on the mend, Atyllah. You need a sharp dose of winter to kill off those bugs rather than summer warmth - or is that just jealousy speaking?

Le laquet said...

Yuk! You poor thing ... well as long as you know what's wrong you can get treatment.
Get well soon x x

Absolute Vanilla (and Atyllah) said...

Thanks, Wilf, yep I think a dose of winter is just the thing - though mind you, you could be speaking from a point of a wee bit of jealousy too ;-)

Yep, does help to know what the problem is, Laquet, now just to get past the last bits of ickiness.

If it's any comfort I know how it feels to be ill of late! Rest up, get pampered and let the soul do the rest!

Absolute Vanilla (and Atyllah) said...

Thanks, Lehane - I'm sorry to hear that you too have been ill - hope you are much better now.

Debi said...

Oh poor you! Like you needed that ...

Hope you somehow drag some good stuff from the bad as you usually do. And sending love as always. xxx

Absolute Vanilla (and Atyllah) said...

Oh yes, Debi no problem there, once again I've found blessings in being ill - seems strange to say that, but it's true :-)

Wanderlust Scarlett said...

Sark is right.

Whack that muse on the backside with a chocolate bar and relax a bit. You'll get back up soon.

Hope you are 100% asap.

And... tropical holidays? I've never heard of such a thing... would you like photos of snow? Or shall I ditch the snow and come sit in the sun with you, so long as you post sunny photos for me to share?

Scarlett & Viaggiatore

Absolute Vanilla (and Atyllah) said...

Improving everyday, thanks, Scarlett.
Hmm, photos of snow eh - well, maybe in January and February when it gets really hot! :-) But I think perhaps you'd be better off coming to sit in the sun with me!

The Passionate Palate said...

Fantastically artistic photos. Scarlett alerted me that you poted something about SARK at the same time I did..so I had to visit and see who you were and make the connection. Here's to inspiring each other and the world, as does Sark.

Absolute Vanilla (and Atyllah) said...

Thanks, Passionate Palate - and I echo the sentiment, here's so continued inspiration - and now, I'm off to check out your blog!
