When African Marimba Rhythms start to Play...

... on a wooden xylophone... and we chill in the sunshine... and get laid back, bro... (Please feel free to hum along... as I carry on phoctobering.)

Making music in the sunshine.

It doesn't get much better than this...

Another hellish day in Africa...

We need the support of tourists, keep visiting!

Chilled out listening pleasure.

This guy was so laid-back he was well horizontal!

These shots were taken when we went off to see the whales in Hermanus a couple of weeks ago. As we sat munching lunch at a street side restaurant, these guys struck up - what a pleasure!

First, the song in the headline, sway, it's my favoruite! I love the genre! I wonder what listening to African music live would be like. Post a song clip or link. im sure its awesome! :) Had seen a story on african music. It had a lot of drums in it. Was very different and intriguing. :)

It's so vast and the scenery so different from one place to another, that I'm sure every bit of your imagination would be tantalised, Alaleh! :-)

This music was pure soul, Puresunshine - lively yet cool, rippling yet smooth. Very hard to describe. I wish I'd bought one of their CDs - I might go back yet and do so! African music is very rhythmic and yes, usually has a lot of drums in it :-)

Nothing better than sunny days, Mutts - but not much like the English Channel ;-)

Thanks, StrugglingWriter - yep, you can almost hear the music, can't you ;-)

My pleasures, Chesca - loved the shots of that glass installation!
Glad you liked my pics - thanks! :-)

It is a wonderful place to sit and relax,Rambler though the town, in season, can get really rowdy. For more peace, you should head a little further around the coast, then I think you might even bliss out! :-)

It's starting to get quite chilly here, already. Not much sunshine left before winter. I should spend some time relaxing in the sun before it's gone...

Great shots ... which are crammed with music! :-)

Relaxing in the son in order to warm up for winter sounds good, Rob :-)

Thanks, Shameless - yep, lots of music there - and good stuff :-)

Aha . . at last shots with people in them. Triffic. The grass is soooo green! I love a lazy Sunday, our whales are coming through now, we had a female and baby humpback just through the heads in Sydney last weekend. Fantastic. Your aunt's gonna have a blast!

Looks fabulous. What a great day, whale watching, musical lunch out in the sunshine. What a view. The colors both happy and soothing.

I'm sorry to admit though, not only am I tad cranky today, but my mind seems to be in the gutter, perhaps you can move the word back, back closer to the word laid. My eyes were scanning the words too slowly, and I had already gotten the wrong impression.

Wow again! *very envious*

Thanks, Baino - ah, so you're getting the whales now, aw, means they're leaving here - I never seem able to get enough of them.
And can we just so NOT talk about my travels with my aunt. Nuf zed!

Thanks, Sameera - it was certainly a great way to spend an afternoon!

It is blessedly beautiful, isn't it, Mystic :-)

That it was indeed and in the very best sense, Jude.

It was a great day, Taffiny - perfect in every way! ;-)

:-) Well, maybe you should come and enjoy it sometime for yourself, Le Laquet! :-)

It was very cool, V - if we go out again I'll see if I can get one of their CDs if they're still there and maybe I can share the music with you :-)

Glad you enjoyed the pics, Colleen!

Ooh, that would be lovely if you could visit, Vesper, I know you'd love the place - despite the insanity, there is so much beauty and vibrancy.

Glad you liked 'em, John - next time can you please toss the pecans in a pie ;-)
