Aint it grand! I'm sitting here at about 7:30pm and the smell of jasmine is wafting through the house . . I won't have to buy any more scented melts until June . . . I love spring. (Even if it's forecast to be 32C tomorrow!) I'd do it in haiku but I am not worthy!
Well my one lot of jasmine has just died back and the next lot is just starting to bud, Baino. Well, it's supposed to rain here tomorrow but right now it must be in the high 20's - I'm dreaming of barbies - or braais, as we call then - and lazy days at the pool. There goes the writing... ;-)
Thanks, Mystic Rose - I love spring, you can feel everything moving and growing - such a sense of burgeoning life! :-)
How beautiful Vanilla, words and photos, bursting with the saps of spring! It amuses and amazes me at the same time - autumn here, spring there... Very nice!
I come here looking for shadows and socks and find spring various guises of unclothedness and a bee (is it a bee?) doing whatever bees do to flowers. Lovely. But, and please forgive me for I am not the brightest ticket, clearly you are not on the same side of the planet as me - for it is autumn here. I work things out, Vanilla, I get there in the end.
Beautiful words and beutiful pictures. It's nice to know that it is spring somewhere. I have just had to get my wooly vest out of the cupboard and will soon be hunting out the long johns too (Yeah, I am a real tredy guy)
You're right, Reading The Signs you do work things out - I am indeed south of the equator. Topsy turvy old world... As for the socks since they have now been smoked I regret to say you will find no sign of them here at the moment. Well, not until I buy more. ;-)
No doubt in six months time this blog will be covered in red and gold leaves, Kat and the rest of you will be posting blossoms and buds... It's all about balance. :-)
Woolly vest and long johns, eh, Steve - well, I don't know, some might view it as a fashion statement... ;-)
Hmm, interesting observation, Rambler - I suppose there is something feminine in "unfurling". :-)
so lovely to realize that when I find myself in the midst of winter all I need do is pop over to visit AV&A and get a little hit of summer!
beautiful flowers...spring - fall -I never seem to settle on which I love best. but then again, truth be told, no matter what the season, I kind of find myself loving that one the at that time THE BEST....to everything - and all that rot! happy, safe and colorful spring wishes! xxxx
And when I get too hot, Kimy, I can head to all my northern blogger friends to cool down - nice balance, eh? :-) I don't have a favourite season, like you, I find they all bring their own beauty and specialness to the day, the moment.
Spring does leave a sweet smell in the air, doesn't it, alaleh ;-)
Why, thank you, Wilf! :-)
Nah, that's not jealous, V - that's just grouchy ;-) Big hug! PS - if it's any consolation, it's supposed to be raining here tomorrow.
very beautiful. You enter spring as I enter autumn. but something about the fall garden does echo spring. A different sort of magic, rather than the first blooms, the last. The beds are more restrained and orderly in the beginning and end, then they are in summer. I find now, that I do think of spring, as I cling, and perpare to say goodbye for winter, I hold onto the memory of spring. (plus I have just planted my bulbs, which is dreaming of spring, in the fall. I guess one could go from spring to fall, and then fly away, to another spring to fall, and avoid the long dark quiet winter. I had never thought of that. But I suppose winter is good for imagining and dreaming.
bit long I know, I should strive for haiku, and saying much, with much less words.

Mother Nature's balance, Vesper - spring for us, autumn for you - keeps us all going :-)
Lovely post. *sigh* Spring feels a helluva long way off to me right now.
Ah, but don't you know, Julia - once you've eaten the requisite number of hot stews, it will be time for spring again ;-)

Beautiful reminder of our season just passed...we're on to brilliantly changing leaves before the winter storm.

oh nice words
"A Petal unfurls"
not sure why I got this feeling, but this talks to me a lot about a girl

i can smell them!
Is there no end to your talent?
It's raining here. Like Kimy said, glad to have a bit of colour and Spring over here. I'm still jealous though!

So happy you've found beauty around you. (We all know it already exists within you!)
Sigh.........
So beautiful, thank you for a stroll through a lovely garden and enchanting haiku.
I needed that today.
Scarlett & Viaggiatore
Lovely photos, I especially like the first and second ones - the colour on the petals is beautiful.
Just lovely,
John :)
Aw, Debi, you're a sweetheart and I hereby nominate you for a "sweetheart award" - who needs niceness awards, eh! ;-)
Glad you enjoyed it, Scarlett
Thanks, Soph :-)
Nature provides us with such stunning beauty, John, but then you know that ;-)
very beautiful.

Hi, Taffiny :-) I think the seasons mirror one another and we can always "see" bits of one in the other, be it in memories or hints of things to come.
