In Praise of Chocolate - The Immaculate Confection

"Know your Chocolate....Know your dreams....Surrender to Chocolate....Realise your dreams!"

I don't know how it happened, I never used to like chocolate... now I'm irascible without my morning mug of cocoa and my chocolate raisins for a mid afternoon snack and Green & Blacks' Organic Maya Gold before bed. I think I may finally have developed an addiction. As Miss Piggy says: "Love is grand, but all I need is chocolate."

Hmm, seems I can't either, which is odd for a girl who's always preferred popcorn and crisps. Is this a sign of maturity. Finally. Please, god, no!

Yep, think that just about covers it!

I don't like chocolate either, I just eat those little bars in the box on on the reception desk because the funds go towards MS research. I'm just doing my bit for science *evil laughter*

Oooh, Green & Blacks' Organic Maya Gold is my favourite chocolate in the whole wide world! (Well, maybe that's an exaggeration but I *really* like it!)

Yummy! Thanks for putting me into a criollo trance. :-)

Scientific research, eh, Baino - hmmm...yes....

Great minds evidently think alike Richard - and have equally good taste! *grin*

Just don't try to drive or operate heavy machinery now, Jefferson ;-)

I'm the same. I can't get enough of chocolate lately. Problem is, I'm getting a bit spotty because of this addiction, and I'm putting on a bit of weight.

My current fave is Swiss chocolate made with fresh alpine milk (yum!).

Absolute Vanilla (and Atyllah) said...

Hmm, Swiss chocolate, yes, I can relate... I think if I had to rank chocolate by favourites it would have to go something like this"
1. Belgian choccies - preferably Neuhaus.
2. Green & Black's Maya Gold
3. Cadbury's Fruit and Nut
4. Chocolate Raisins
5. Chocolate Logs and/or Sweetie Pies

Oh god... got to go off and raid the cupboard - again!

What an interesting and entertaining post. I was particularly impressed by the what that painter did with the spoon (oops! sounds bad that doesn't it?)

I like chocolate to, but I used to get carried away. If it was in the house it was gone. Usually in just a few bites. I've stopped eating it now and taken up jogging instead.

For those who are not so hard on themselves, here is a link to a free ebook full of loads and loads of yummy chocolate recipes: http://www.mrcsebookemporium.co.uk/?p=54
